Partnership with University of Adelaide

Discovery and development of peptides with specific binding to target metals/minerals is critical for Theia MetalsTM technology platform and commercial plans. Our peptides must also embody multiple other quality attributes essential for scale up manufacture and commercial use.

Theia Metals has established an exclusive licensing partnership with the Laboratory of Prof. Chun-Xia Zhao at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Adelaide, South Australia. This partnership in commercial development will provide Theia Metals access to highly curated peptide building blocks for next-generation mining process commercialisation, plus world-leading expertise in the multiple lab scale assays to define quality attributes predictive of success at scale. Prof. Zhao’s laboratory will lead testing of diverse peptide formats including proprietary recombinant constructs from Theia Metals, enabling us to develop an integrated and broad corporate intellectual property basis to underpin commercial products and partnerships.
