B. Sara Howard, PhD, is experienced in creation and building of platform technology companies, with particular emphasis on the cross-over of biotechnology and life science technologies into industrial applications that broadly affect society and the environment. As-Co-founder of Theia MetalsTM, Director, and COO, she will focus on business development in specific business sectors and operational management of external manufacturing contracts. Sara holds a PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UNSW, Australia, a MSc from University of San Francisco and BSc from Santa Clara University, USA.

Russell J Howard, PhD, DSc, is a seasoned Director, Executive Manager and Research Scientist with over 30 years of experience in biotechnology applications across diverse medical and industrial sectors in the USA and Australia. Russell will be CEO at Theia Metals alongside his role as Co-Founder and Director. As former CEO of Maxygen in the USA, he developed a platform technology business that created multiple products and spin-off enterprises in drug development, agriculture and chemicals businesses. Alongside his strategic development skills, he has a deep understanding of corporate governance and leadership skills in the context of small rapidly changing enterprises. Russell is currently Chairman of Immutep Pty Ltd, Sydney, (ASX & NASDAQ) and was formerly CEO of Maxygen, USA; President, Affymax/GlaxoWellcome; VP, DNAX/Schering Plough; tenured scientist, NIAID, NIH, USA; PhD Biochemistry University of Melbourne.

John Macphillamy, has >45 yrs experience in Australia and overseas in publicly listed and private companies in operations, and management. He has worked as CFO, Legal Counsel and Compliance Manager in large organisations. John also has experience in R&D, capital raising and bringing small start-ups to market. As a Director at Theia Metals, John will also be our General Counsel and CFO. John was formerly CFO/General Counsel at Grant Samuel, Sydney. John has BEc and Dip Law, Sydney University.
